UNESCO minus $60 million US taxpayer dollars travels to Australia to save its 'climate' cash cow

Disgraced climate insider and 'ethicist' Gleick who stole documents told the US Senate warming was due to "industry" which therefore must be curtailed. UN agency UNESCO travels to Australia because they heard there might be too much "industry." It's doing so minus some US tax dollars:

"A UN team has arrived in Australia to investigate possible damage to the Great Barrier Reef by the mining industry.

Fears that coal exports and oil and gas exploration would jeopardise the reef prompted the Unesco delegation's visit.

Environmentalists have urged the government to suspend mining development until a government review is completed....

The Great Barrier Reef, which holds Unesco World Heritage status, lies off the coast of the state of Queensland, which is the largest producer of coal in the country.

The Unesco team is scheduled to visit the reef for a week before making recommendations to the World Heritage committee. They will also meet members of the government....

But the reef presents a familiar conundrum for resource-rich Australia - the demands of a powerful and lucrative mining industry against the needs of the environment, our (BBC) correspondent adds."...

Ed. note: Bias. The BBC is owned by the UK government which is heavily invested in the 'climate' industry and needs revenues from it to meet its budget. Also the financial survival of the monarchy is dependent on the success of the global warming industry. BBC employees obviously can't be considered a news source on the topic of 'climate.'

10/31/11, "UNESCO votes to admit Palestine; U.S. cuts off funding," Washington Post

"UNESCO voted Monday to admit Palestine into the organization as its newest member
, and the United States promptly responded by cutting off funding for the agency.

Acting under a legal requirement to cut U.S. funds to any U.N. agency that recognizes a Palestinian state, the State Department on Monday announced that the United States has stopped funding the U.N. Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization because of the vote. Department spokesman Victoria Nuland told reporters that the Obama administration would not make a planned $60 million payment to the agency due this month....

It signaled that the Palestinians intend to pursue membership in a number of specialized U.N. agencies, which have their own rules for membership and where the United States does not have veto power....

The United States provides UNESCO with more than $80 million a year, covering about 22 percent of its budget, thus making any cutoff painful."...
